7 Passages to Lanna

“วิกฤติเป็นโอกาส” ยังเป็นวลีที่มีความอัศจรรย์ อยู่ในตัว ท่ามกลางความซบเซาเงียบเหงา อันเกิดจากผลกระทบของ มหันตภัย Covid 19 ทำให้กิจกรรมต่างๆของมนุษย์หยุดชะงักลงอย่างฉับพลัน อีกด้านหนึ่งก็เป็นโอกาสให้ธรรมชาติได้ฟื้นฟูตนเอง และดูจะเป็นโอกาส ของศิลปินที่ชอบความสงบอยู่แล้ว ได้ใช้โอกาสนี้เก็บตัวอยู่ในบ้าน ในสตูดิโอ สร้างสรรค์ ผลงาน บ้างเขียนรูป บ้างทำภาพพิมพ์ บ้างแกะหินแกะไม้อยู่ในป่า ได้ผลงานรวบรวมแล้ว 35 ชิ้น เห็นควรนำแสดงให้สาธารณะชม โดยผลงานเหล่านี้มีเนื้อหา แนวคิดและเทคนิคหลากหลายทั้ง 2 มิติและ 3 มิติ ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกนึกคิดต่อสถานการณ์เปลี่ยนผ่านของโลก และในล้านนาดินแดนแห่งศิลปวัฒนธรรม ที่กำลังเติบโตและเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว ไม่ว่าอะไรจะเกิดขึ้น ศิลปินยังเพียรพยายามนำเสนอความงาม ความดี ผ่านสุนทรียภาพสู่ความหวังของมนุษยชาติเพื่อเป้าหมายแห่งสันติสุขของโลกและสังคม

ศิลปินดังกล่าวได้แก่

วัฒนะ วัฒนาพันธุ์, สุรสิทธิ์ เสาว์คง, ศรีวรรณา เสาว์คง, พีระพงษ์ ดวงแก้ว,

พงศ์เดช ไชยคุตร, ราษี ศรบรรจง, ลิปิกร มาแก้ว

ศิลปินทั้ง 7 นี้ อดีตเคยสอนศิลปะในสถาบันต่างๆในเชียงใหม่และต่างประเทศ ส่วนใหญ่เกษียณราชการแล้ว แต่ก็ยังสร้างสรรค์ผลงานต่อเนื่อง ตลอดจนการอุทิศเวลา ความรู้ และงานบริการทางวิชาการด้านศิลปะแก่สังคมทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่น ระดับชาติ และนานาชาติ เสมอมา

ทั้งนี้ ขอเชิญแขกผู้มีเกียรติ ศิลปิน นักศึกษา ร่วมเปิดนิทรรศการ ที่หอศิลป์วัฒนะ 100-1 ซอยวัดอุโมงค์ ต.สุเทพ อ.เมือง จ.เชียงใหม่ วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 18 พฤศจิกายน 2564 เวลา 18.00 น. โดยมี ท่านอินสนธ์ วงศ์สาม ศิลปินแห่งชาติ เป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยดนตรี เครื่องดื่มและสันทนาการ

Seven Artists, Seven Representations of Lanna

For more than a year, COVID19 has threatened lives across the world and has affected almost everyone on the planet in one way or another. The pandemic has halted the global circulation of goods, services, and information we had taken for granted.

In our lives as in nature, sometimes crisis begets opportunity. Artists who cherish the chance to work undisturbed have taken advantage of this unusual opportunity to follow their inspiration in unaccustomed peace and quiet. Local Lanna artists have spent the past year painting in their studios, carving wood and stone in the forest, and printmaking. The collection of artworks they have created represents a tribute to the nature that surrounds us and to their beloved Lanna heritage, as they have taken their inspiration from the art and culture that has been passed down through the generations.

The seven participating artists are retired university professors who have taught at universities in Chiang Mai and elsewhere. Together they will show 35 works, including paintings, prints, and sculpture. The exhibition opening will take place at Wattana Art Gallery on November 18, 2021, at 6 p.m. There will be a reception, a panel discussion, and music entertainment.

The seven artists are Wattana Wattanapun, Surasit Saokong, Sriwanna Saokong, Peerapong Duang Kaew, Pongdej Chaikut, Rasee Sornbanjong and Lipikorn Makaew.
